I searched 'weight reduction' and 'reduce weight' and didn't come up with much.

I have some pretty hefty subs, and I'm about to put a hundred pounds of Dynamat into my ride. I'm trying to offset this weight.

I wanted to make this thread to compile the parts that can be removed to make a noticeable difference.

The rear seats weigh less than I hoped. Maybe 20-30 lbs. However, I don't intend to buy lightweight track wheels or carbon fiber body parts, but for the thread I'll post the weight of the stock parts for comparison. I'm also fortunate not to have a sunroof.

If you know how much something weighs I'll add it to the OP.

Not really worth removing comforts from the car if you're not taking it to the track or anything.

Fair enough. I still plan to compile a list of commonly removed parts and record their weights in the OP to aid anyone interested in this. I remember seeing a Member's Ride thread where he gutted out his accord for a track run. I don't think he recorded any weights, though.

I won't be swapping in an H22a for another year or two, but I don't exactly want to be driving a snail until then. I'll be even interested in reducing weight since I plan to push 350-400 bhp. I know I'll be placing brackets in the truck to keep my subs from sliding all around.:badger:

For the subs I just used industrial strength velcro, get it at any hardware store. Works well, ive taken some fast tight corners and subs have not budged a cm
