Weird 4cyl AT coupe problems... Help!

That's why I asked about your idle, 600 sounds about normal though. If it's a somewhat steep incline and the car rolls a little I think that's normal, you're still subject to the laws of physics. But if it's doing it on a very slight incline, then maybe something is amiss. Idle speed is a factor, you could try raising it. But there could possibly be other things that could be adjusted.

like redryder said, we are subject to the laws of physics. My car rolls back on steep inclines if im not holding the breaks. idling isnt strong enough to overcome gravity at a certain point. And yes our cars can be shut off in drive, but not turned back on. It has to be put back in park to start.
yeah I understand that, I just wasn't sure if that was just my car or all 6th gens that shuts off in drive

All card can be shut off in drive, it's a safety feature, in case the throttle sticks or something.

You should not be able to remove the key, that's a problem with the park interlock. Mine does it, haven't looked into it. When (if) I do I'll post what I find.
