Allright time to get back on track and on topic here. Winter is hire, i changed the all seasons to winters (altimax arctics in 195-65-15 on stock steelies). All tires pumped up to 33.5-34psi. Temperature around here has been between the -15C -> 2C. Filled up the car last night and i was about to rip my hair out.

I got 14.5 l/100km = 16.22mpg.

Nothing has changed but just 2-3 weeks ago i was still getting 11.5 l/100km = 20.45mpg//11 l/100km = 21.38mpg.

Can the winter tires affect things this much?

That doesn't sound right. I would think going to tires that are smaller and lighter would actually increase gas mileage. I think you might have some internal motor problems and it would be hard to figure it out without literally taking everything apart. From the sounds of it, I think if you can, I would just get a new car. You've tried a lot of things and majority of them hasn't worked.

I went from 195-65-15s to 196-65-15s...so same tire size, just went from lighter rims with all seasons to steelies with winter tires. Engine has good compression, doesn't burn oil, no weird noises/ticking, no issues in driving, accelerating, uphill, downill etc so iunno.

From what you're describing i'd say check your cat converter if its blocked maybe.
I have no issues with acceleration, inclines, or going through gears. My only issue is gas mileage is ****, as otherwise car performs like a champ in inclines and declines.

Welcome to my life lol

I was getting a p020 (bad cat) code. I did the nonfouler trick so the CEL light doesnt come on anymore but still proforms like crap. But you just might be right about the cat being blocked cuz i hear rattling when i warm up the car. Im pretty sure my cat is gone so im going to take it apart this week. Ill post up an update in a week.
