Any idea what this part is? I have always wondered this and I am wondering what it actually is called and what it is for:

Thanks, hopefully some of you know this off the top of your head. I should know what it is but I don't lol. This is the one that usually mounts in front of the fuel rail to the IM plenum.

Kind of, but the actual part is not numbered, and thus not described. The actual valve has a perforated dotted line around it but is not described as to what it is. It just says 'E-1 -->', but what and where is E-1? It is not listed below in the descriptions.

Ah, so basically I don't need this if I don't do emissions and I have a custom engine management system? Does it affect idle at all?

It's a vacuum line that depressurizes the intake plenum from recirculated burnt gases and blow by that might get passed the PCV. Or as most people call it "Check Valve". I would use it.
