I drove from my house to Norfolk, VA last year--11 hours. When I first bought it (pre-mods), I drove it to Miami--13 hours for Christmas. That was the most memorable, because we got to go swimming on Christmas day. It was about 75 degrees.

whitey what'd you drive to norfolk for? i live about 40 mins from there, and work about 10 mins from there lol.

skabone, so you moving down to AZ? hope your trip goes well. you should be able to get 400+ miles easy. I usually get around 450 to a tank on the highway.

longest I've driven in one trip is 1150ish miles, from my house in Williamsburg, VA to Madison, WI. that was fun. I drove it all in a day too lol, left VA at 5am and got to WI around 8:30pm local time.

and i wasn't driving, but when we were doing this geneology thing for my mom's family we drove around canada for a week. put on over 3700 miles in 5 days.

that's how i justify the money i spend on my car. I spend a lot of time in my car (hell I just spent 10 hours driving this weekend), so I consider all of the money I spend on suspension, etc "long-term investments".

Me and my dad drove up there to bid on a construction job. (my dad's a general contractor) But that was in January. Norfolk seems like a nice place, though. We had to stay in some $hit a$$ motel in chesapeake. :D

norfolk's downtown district is really nice. other parts of it just suck.

and of course, traffic in the entire hampton roads area just blows.

jeff looking forward to your photo journal lol, should be interesting. what states are you going to be passing through?
