hey guys im trying to figure out which buffer is a safe one to work with as well as to keep so when i improve i can just stick with what i have and not have to buy a better one. I read that a orbital buffer is for beginners but its not as effective so i dont know which ones are right for me. atm all i know is to stay away from rotary buffers lol. any tips and advice guys? thx

UDM, Porter Cable XP7424, G110 all those are good DA polishers that will give you awesome results if used properly with proper pad and proper polish.

Polisher won't do anything at all, I think it only used to remove wax lol.

And sure thing, stay away from rotary otherwise you will burn paint if you don't know how to use it.

Well at that class the teacher said compound is for bigger scratches and polisher is for shining it up and smaller scratches, he scratched up a brand new hood infront of us did the wool pad then compound then polisher then waxed it using all different pads and the hood looked brand new again i was like :wtf1: when he scratched it, but after he was done i was like :jealousbow:
