i just decided to redo my dual 12" audiobahn fiberglass sub enclosure and add 2 more subwoofers. i realize that i am going to need a bigger cap as well(my current one is 5.0fared). so this is what i need to know:

1. what is the difference between a capacitor and a capcell?
capacitor i would get=http://www.millionbuy.com/pakpc20hc.html
capcell i would get=http://www.millionbuy.com/pakcapcell800.html

2. what brand of subwoofers would you recomend for my Power Acoustik TS1920
heres the link for the specs =http://www.crutchfield.com/S-0Yc2j9Wc0IP/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?I=026TS19202

Depends on what you want...sound quality or just loudness? Seeing that you had Audiobahns, you most likely don't care about SQ...lol

Look at Stereo Integrity, FI Audio, all those loud subs that can still sound decent when pushed

first advice, chunk those audiobans. If you must keep them and add more than do the big 3, get a nice H/O alt, and a good battery or two. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH A CAP of ANY kind (unless its a batcap because thats a small battery in itself).

not sure if you care about the following but I'll say it anyway in case someone else reads this..

My honest advice would be chunk the whole fiberglass box. From the looks of it that enclosure is sealed. Not sure if your after monster bass but I can almost 100% guarantee if you put your current subs into a large enough ported enclosure (2.0 cu-ft or lager) it'll sound better and hit harder than 4 of them subs in your planned fiberglass enclosure. Need to think of it like this, if you wear a size 12 shoe would you feel comfortable putting on a pair of size 8's? Just apply that analogy to sticking large subs in small sealed enclosures.

Not hating on Audiobahn, but this is something I found to be interesting and pretty funny. Audiobahn is made by the same manufactures that produce several other low to mid range speakers. Matter of fact all they really do is change the basket design or the dust cone. I can't remember the sub-woofers brand name but there is actually a sub-woofer line EXACTLY the same down to every last inch as Audiobahn the only difference is the name on the cone, oh and they are considerably cheaper. Also the other funny thing is grab a 500 watt Audiobahn, then grab a 1000 watt from the other brand I just mentioned, and the magnets are identical except the sticker. So is it really 1000 watts? Just shows you how shady audio companies can be. Kinda of makes you wonder if that 500 watt sub is really even 500 watts? lol

yeah man i see what your saying, that could be true about the audiobahns. im looking into rockford...i think they have excellent s.q. i dont know about ditching the fiberglass box tho, i hate the look of a standard speaker box thrown in a trunk

No need to spend any money on the cap-cell or any form off capacitor (just yet. keep what you have)
For prolonged hard pounding bass;- power and lots off it is what you need & those amps are not exactly powerfull.
Look into some used mono subwoofer specific amps, their are bargains to be had!... Rockford are great for this. Dont' read to much into max Watts, look at Watts RMS. The higher the figure the better, 500Wrms into each sub is great.
+1 on doing the big3, cabling upgrade, there a DIY on this forum and its pretty good for that.
+1 on going ported, or keep current enclosure & brace it (that is, make it MUCH stronger/stiffer internally, with wood or extra layers of fiberglass) and fill the inside with dacron or fibrous insulation matting. This will make the box seem a little bigger to the subs. Also if you can get the elcosure to some how bolt to the car, it will transfer more bass! The tighter you can get that enclosure down the better it will pound. Good luck!
