Why does this forum hate TYC Projector Headlights?

I've been on this forum for a little while now and I've gotta say: it's a great resource. There's a wealth of info here and folks are generally helpful. That said, I've noticed a strong bias against TYC Projector headlights.

What's up with that? I have them and love them. Never had any fog-ups, and once the HID kit goes in, they shine nice n bright. I also think they're a significant improvement over stock in terms of looks - at least the the pricier ones.

What's the word 6GA?

TYC projectors aren't really hated that much; more so HALO projectors

I personally just think the TYC projectors are just ugly as hell and look too much like the other "eBay" ricey crap headlights. just along the same lines as why this forum doesn't think too much of altezza tails I guess.

But in terms of output, TYC are the only "accord" projectors that are worth using. I have also heard that these can be at least functional with HIDs. lol.

They look like cheap halos from a distance and are 150-175 for some headlights.

The Altezza tails ARE ugly, I'll give you that. I've only seen it look nice on white coupes, and they were coordinated with other mods.

I'm not trying to flame-bait here but what's so bad about the halos? Again - I'm in the minority here that think they're kinda hot.

Just so no one gets the wrong idea - typical ricer stuff annoys me to:

Overly huge spoilers
Samurai Mask-ish Front bumpers
Fart-can Mufflers
Overly huge or tiny wheels
Senseless application of decals, carbon fiber, etc...

Well the "OTHER" halos are despised for their piss poor light output. I mean.... it's baad.

And I think you said it best yourself, you're just a minority in your opinion of liking the look. If you like it man, that's what matters most. Nothing beats looking back at your own ride and smiling, proud of how it looks.

It has just become the mainstream opinion that they don't look that hot.... and like most things, the more you hang around this site, you realize most people DO tend have have similar/same views on a given look/mod/opinion/etc.

But I applaud your question.... in that you didn't make yourself sound like an a** or a completely illiterate noob. Good day to you sir.
