Why the 'SiR' badge?

I'm just a bit curious why I've seen the SIR badge on some accords here. I've always found it strange for people to put badges on cars that don't represent what it is, especially "Type-R" and "Turbo" ricer-type ones. Other personal badges and stickers that have more relevance to one's personality is understandable, like dragons, pink flowers etc.

Don't get me wrong, the SIR badge looks slick. Is it just for that JDM look? I'm tempted to find one myself, but I don't want to be mocked for having strange irrelevant stickers looool

From 97-2002 the Euro accord was offered in an SiR package (CF4) and from 99-01 FWD (CH9) and 00-01 AWD (CL2) Euro Accord Wagon was offered in the SiR package as well. The also offered the SiR-T (CF4) from 97-2000 as well.

I agree, OP, I think that is SO dumb to put other badges on the car that don't actually come on it.

The problem with putting a badge on a car that doesn't have any correlation to anything on/in it is....think about when someone asks you about it...there is nothing you can say that won't sound retarded.
