there are two badges, the SIR like you posted which comes out of the jdm accord wagon with the automatic F20b motor 180bhp. Then there is the SIR-T badge which stands for SIR-Trueno which comes out of the jdm accord SIR-T which looks like the Euro-R accord. The SIR-T accord has an F20b motor (blue top) in it, 200bhp with 147ft-lbs torque and is manual 5spd.

So people who put these badges on their cars are either like my car who have swapped an F20b motor in their car (note i do not have the badge on my car and dont want it on my car) or they just put it for show, which no offense, i wouldnt put it on unless i can back it up.

just a lil background info on it =D

Personally I view it differently, if you have the actual motor in your car, why not. Imo, think its foolish when you know you have a single head motor and put a dohc vtec stick on your car. Yeah its not the original car, that the motor came from, but if you think about its the motor that made the car have it title badge.

True, but depending on what engine is in the car, IMO, that could be enough to back it up.

i wouldnt put it on unless i can back it up.

im not against putting it on if you have the actual motor in the car like i said earlier, but i think its always nice to surprise people by not having it, they think you have a stock car and then little do you know when they pop the hood theres a different stronger motor underneath.

There's no reason to put a badge of a model that isn't in fact your car onto your car, just makes me shake my head every time I see it.

Personally, I don't like badges at all...even if I owned a Porsche 911 GT2RS, I'd remove all the badges so I guess I'm biased.
