Re: Wid's 98 EX Coupe

Good looking car man.

I would say go like an inch and half lower, but it looks good where it is too.

Car looks great! Love the black leather swap. I would like to see you go lower .. But im guessing because of winter you cannot? Lol

Thanks guys.

When I originally dropped it before alignment I was about an inch lower in the front and I didn't like it very much on our terrible roads here. I was already scraping the bottom of my WW lip very easily going in and out of various places around my small town.

I figured since I would probably try leaving the Types2's on for their first winter and combing terrible busted up ****ty Canadian roads I went up an inch. I do plan on dropping the rear a tad though once the winters through.

My type 2's are actually sitting at max height basically.. :boohoo: Kind of wish I got some coilovers that allow the drop I have now with more overall comfort. Teins?

Trade?

Re: Wid's 98 EX Coupe

So I haven't really updated my thread or added much for new pictures but I have a dilemma on my hands.

I was backed into at work and my bumper cover was cracked along with my hood pushed up a bit so both parts are no good.

The lip is fine.

I now have options....

I have my eyes on a replacement 98 coupe bumper that has OEM fogs installed w/ the fog switch still in the car. I can't put the WW front lip on and keep the fog lights installed.

So I also have my eyes on a full OEM lip kit, which would end up forcing me to sell the WW kit.

Do I go this route or do I swap to the 01-02 bumper/hood setup?

PS I know its my car and I'll probably make my own decision but I'm just looking for opinions. :)

could you modify the lip to accommodate the coupe bumper?

You mean mod the WW lip to fit the 01-02 coupe bumper?

I think going to sell the whole WW kit. Then go pickup the new bumper cover with 98-00 OEM fogs and then buy the OEM lip kit I'm looking at.

I really like the clean look of the OEM lip kit & fogs. Add the finished retros and fresh paint and it's going to look awesome. :naughtyrun:

Hopefully I can get a decent amount for the WW kit to put towards the Honda kit. Anyone interested?

Re: Wid's 98 EX Coupe

So update on my situation.

So this is my front end damage. The trucks exhaust pipe went through my license plate almost making a perfect circle and pushing through the bumper as well. You can see the bumper was cracked up where it meets the hood while the lip of the hood was pushed up a bit.

Long story short combining that front end damage, and minor hail damage .. insurance wanted to total the car and pay me out. The deal that was made was that I keep the car, got a check for 2400 and I fix it myself.

So today I went on a junk yard run and picked up:

Hood - Mine isn't worth repairing before respray
Trunk Lid - Spoilerless and dingless unlike my dinged up spoiler trunk
Passenger Door - Great shape, no dings
Passener side Fender - Also dingless

$250 for all of it.

Now I just have to pick up a bumper cover but I already know where that's located.

My biggest question now is what color do I want to paint the car. I'm probably keeping it black but I figured I'll get a new age black. Any opinions?

I'll probably be putting 1000-1500 into the 2400 to get all this work done. In the end I'll have a fresh painted 6ga with OEM fogs and OEM lip kit.
