I don't mind driving in the snow, but I try not to go out when it's in busy hours. It's b/c no matter how careful / good you drive, it's others that can hit your car... I'd absolutely hate to be rear-ended 'n get my car totaled by a dumb a$$ who can't pull the brake properly in the snow, or going through a hectic repair work. Ppl overreact too much here in Seattle as well. What's worse is that, a bunch of SUV drivers think that they're invincible on the roads, and end up on a collision course, ultimately worsening the traffic congestions...

Regardless of ppl driving in the snow pathetically, I think the driver's licensing test in U.S. is too easy to pass; It seems like the DL test is made to have ppl pass the test, rather than made to fail. Over the past few years, I've seen numerous international ppl coming into Seattle, working for Microsoft. I won't disclose which country they're from, but I've seen many of them practice driving an empty parking lot. It's good that they practice, but when they pass the DL test, they usually end up driving under the speed limit, putting high beams on all the time, keeping inter-vehicle gap too much during the rush hours, driving awfully slow on a passing lane, talking / texting w/ a cell phone, etc. And, majority of those ppl have not dealt w/ snow in their life.. With that said, I'd def stay out of trouble 'n stay home, when it snows...
