    Steering wheel shaking

I’m wondering if it could be the power steering pump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Steering wheel shaking

Correct. It doesn’t seem to do it when I gradually depress and release the pedal, only after I’ve quickly depressed and release the pedal when I’m cruising at higher speeds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Steering wheel shaking

1998 Accord EX 5-speed sedan...I have new tires, alignment check was good, and just had front brakes and rotors replaced. When I drive on the interstate and quickly depress and release the brake pedal, my steering wheel begins to shake. Once I get off the interstate and make a complete stop and...

Transmission issues yet again on my 98 ex-l 4 cylinder

If you plan on keeping it, I'd recommend a 5-spd swap. Besides, it'll be a heck of a lot more fun to drive! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Suggestions and general info, please?

We have three 6th Gen Accords and I try to do as much as I can within my capabilities. I take them to a privately owned Honda shop for some minor and major repairs/maintenance, but I do think they charge too much for things that I can do myself, like change the door lock actuators, cabin air...

    CEL Codes

Thanks james'99, that's what I was suspecting, but the time between the first and 2nd blink seemed a little different than the time between the 2nd and 3rd blink, so I wasn't quite sure.

    CEL Codes

I'm having difficulty deciphering exactly which CEL code this is. The initial blink is throwing me off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qq9szsj7nRM

So far, no other accidents, but, yes, he's still in high school. It's time to drive in the snow, though, whenever we get some. Good luck on the job search.

The '97 5-spd we had had 220,000+ miles on it and going strong, then my son had his first accident and there she went.

I also had them put a camber kit on my '99 I bought a year and a half year ago. I'll probably have them put one on the Coupe, too.

Guess you could buy car flags instead, huh. The Coup is a Missouri car, so there's a little bit of rust going on underneath in the A-pipe area, hope that's all! The right upper control arm was bad, which I didn't notice when driving it, hmmm. I should get the car back from the shop tomorrow, and...

Yep, ALWAYS! Under our particular circumstance, I felt a bit pressured, which I won't get into, so I didn't take my time and do a thorough job of inspecting it myself on this one. You live and you learn, sometimes!

What a coincidence! I happen to work in Bentonville Schools, so driving my 99 Accord on I-49 daily is a bit stressful, but it cruises right along and has been holding up quite nicely. We're having to put a lot of $$ into the 00 Coupe, but, oh well, it'll be like-new once it's all said and done...

For several weeks now, I've been looking for another Honda Accord to add to the other two Accords that we have (1998, 1999) for our son who's a senior in high school and will be entering college in the fall. We are partial to the 5-speed option (previously owned 1997, 2000 manual Accords) since...

    Oil spitting from tailpipe

I have a 1998 Accord EX 5-spd sedan; bought a year ago from private party; been burning a quart of oil every 450-500 miles, but can't figure out where the oil is going; no previous signs of leaking, spitting, blowing smoke when we first bought it; Honda shop has been using synthetic blended oil...

Door Lock Actuators Not Consistently Working

Even though the replacements are aftermarket, they are less than a year old. I still think it's an electrical problem somehow...just weird.

Door Lock Actuators Not Consistently Working

Thanks for the reply. I did unplug the front actuator, but like I previously mentioned, the linkage won't move for me to manually un/lock it like the rear linkage. Is it possible that the current can bypass the front and power the rear actuator only, while other times power the front and not...

Door Lock Actuators Not Consistently Working

I have a 1999 Accord that I had replaced 3 of 4 actuators, as the front driver's door lock is good. The driver's rear lock actuator has been holding up just fine, but it's the passenger doors that have been working off an on. It seems as though it might be an electrical problem. When one works...
