    I ended up buying one from Auto Zone. Had no other options since everything was closed last weekend and i needed to leave town. 60 bucks for a Duralast Axle. We'll see how long it lasts.

    I know this is an old thread but were you able to find what caused the problem? Mine just started doing the same. I quickly crawled under and noticed from movement on the inner shaft.

    The driver seat on my 01 Accord Sedan EX broke. The metal ripped apart and it seems that the only way to fix it is to re-weld it together.     I had the same problem with my CAT. Eventually I gutted mine out and later bought a used one. The used one gave me the CEL so I'm thinking about doing the De-fouler mod. Should i keep the damaged Cat in the car or replace it with the gutted version?

    Sometimes I close the trunk and while I drive, there is this rattle noise coming from the back. If I re-open the trunk and close it again, it goes away. This is been happening in the recent months. I've checked for any lose screws or anything but found nothing. Has anyone here experienced this?

    Thanks all. I just noticed that the backplate behind the front rotor seems to be making contact with the rotor itself. I've just bent it back and will find out on my way home if that solves the problem.

    The noise is on the opposite side of where the tranny is. I listened to is and even stuck my head in the wheel well. Its right where the rotor is. Could it be the ABS?

    No rocks, I even heard the noise while the tires were off and the car was on drive (wheels spinning in the air). Timing belt was done by me at 126K Miles and no problems since. The noise is annoying.

    CV / axles are fine, they were replaced about 20K miles ago. Same noise while turning depending on speed. It's louder at freeway speeds. To hear it, I'd have to be paying close attention or driving close to the center divider with my windows down. The clicks are fast but not loud.
