they don't add any performance gain. It does aid in cooling a little bit, but it's not much.

There was an article about them in import tuner or project car a few months ago... apparently they do work fairly well dpending on what you get... lower temperatures by like 10-15º

i think fabricating it to fit in our cars wouldn't be very hard at all, just minor cutting & patching?
