Trust me. I had the same problem. Just hit it harder. Play with the jack. Then hit it harder again. And apply PB blaster liberally.

The situation is pretty clear from what he describes. OP, if you have a 1/4" drive extension just hammer that in the hole to get the rest of the bolt out. It fits perfectly diameter-wise. If the bolt still sticks out the side of the hole, hammer it until it sits flush then use the extension to hammer it all the way through the hole.

could i bypass the lower fork bolt, and undo the nut at the end of the lower control arm, so it will bring the fork with it so i could pull the strut free?
