It's just your supercharger. No worries here. Haha! Just messing around.

Check out that pump and alternator. Also, where does your power steering level sit. Low? High?

ONLY USE HONDA POWER STEERING FLUID OR AUTOZONE HONDA ALTERNATIVE!

Does it whine more when you turn the wheel? Also, operate the A/C. See if this makes a difference. Can you hear what side of the engine it's coming from? Clearly, you taped from the driver side but are you able to pin it down better at all?

Alright ill keep up with those things, I kinda wana try that alternator upgrade from v6 Odyssey anyway, as well as do a steering fluid change might as well since its not costly anyway. So far from startup to drive it hasn't made the noise, or whine.

there are other things, even electronic:

:p
you need that, really (edit: need anything, mechanical is cheapest so I post it)

guesses:
a/c: the compressor doesn't spin that fast, for that frequency
P/S might because of pump probs, but it should leak
alternator: I think you'd hear more 'clunking'
crank pulley: more of a vibration issue than noise for a dead dampener
belts: I suspect them, one slipping from a seized or tough pulley, check the idler

really, check it all...

I fricking love this forum you guys are helpful like seriously.
So another update, i recently had a bad A/C resistor, so i replaced it so i can get A/C in this wonderful florida weather... anyways so the whine is in and out while i drive, WITH AC ON. but as soon as i turned that sucker off, the noise instantly goes away.. soo, ac compressor or ac issue of sorts?
