A pry bar and a hammer works the best. It's also good to have a friend there to hold the cat steady on the floor.

I used a Wooden Dowel, and a mallet, It was about the same as the I.D. as the cat so i Smashed the catalyst out because mine was clogged... And now my exhaust is MUCH louder. And i really need to just buy a new cat. They really aren't holding you back unless you're trying to make a thousand Hp. I Really think people should leave most of the Evap **** alone, it's Not hurting anything.

agree, but f oem they are stupid expensive, im goin with magna flow bolt on type(not high flow)
