Help diagnosing engine noise

I can't tell if this is being caused internally or if its a belt or what.

It's a chirping noise as you can hear in the video, but I'm not sure what's causing it.

I only notice it when the engine is cold started in the morning, it goes away after I drive on it for a little bit, then it doesn't happen again until I start it the next morning.

It's been going on for about a week now, can one of you guys help me figure this out? It's annoying me...

ah the alternator, I bet that's what it is.

might be time to replace that..

yeah, it's had knocking for a couple months now.

its not too bad actually, it dies down after I let the engine warm up and drive on it.

but that chirping noise needs to go, annoys the hell out of me.

question for you my friend, any lights dimming when lets say opening your windows at idle. Or any whinning?

yes I have seen the clock light dim when putting the windows down or turning on the air conditioning.

I need a new alternator don't I?
