haha yeah ok

this will cut into money I had intended for something else, but I'd rather have a well running car.

Tell me about it man, I've been getting lazy lately.

I need to take care of the alternator, two new tires, and a camber kit by next week and then I'll feel accomplished, maybe? :D

be like it is
lol samething i have :lawl:

what is the knokcing noise anyways?
piston slap, perhaps. my valves are in adjustment, and it goes away once the car is warm...
yes I have seen the clock light dim when putting the windows down or turning on the air conditioning.

I need a new alternator don't I?
my lights have always dimmed when i use stuff like that...but never due to the stereo.

if that's the case, ive needed a new alternator for a good 4.5 years... :lawl:

haha I dunno man, maybe you have been running on a beat up alternator that whole time.

Well best case scenario, when I get it replaced I'll notice all the little things that it makes a difference in and report back.

Also isn't some of that knocking noise related to needing an oil change?

I'm changing mine when I get home from class on Tuesday, so I guess I'll see if it makes a difference.

Mine was doing the same thing and it got really loud at some point and though my alternator would go bad, but then decided to re-tighten all the belts and it went away :)
