I've done it and it's really not that hard. It takes patients and a steady hand. This was my first time soldering. Worst case scenario is you ruin it and have to replace it. Were talking well under $200 here.

My advice for you is to take apart the hvac and read the instructions how to remove the old LEDs and install new ones. It's very straight forward.

I would, but i don't want to pay for shipping and labor or be with out climate/stereo system. I'll just find some local shop or someone that can solder.

They do sell a solderless kit for both auto/manual climate control, it's in the drop down menu as an option.
