its about 2 things, in my opinion...

1. new tab, but that's "meh" to me
2. the links are never labeled. its just youtube.com/weoif3w98f3928roa439u0wfw0e912...then people post "EPIC!!!" "MUST SEE" "ROFLMAO". i dont know wtf it is. nws? something ive seen 100 times? a civic racing a corvette??? HOLY ****!!! ive never seen anything like that before

honestly, i dont bother clicking about 95% of youtube links posted here other forums will use the page's title when you hyperlink (any web site) and dont put any words for the link.

I don't know why people are so opposed to letting them be embedded. It wont take any of your time away to have it there, and yeah most of the time I'd rather just watch the video then scroll down and comment in the thread. when I commonly have 10 tabs open, one more can really add to the clutter.
