OK, I desperately need new struts - my stock suspension has pretty much had it at 111xxx miles. Originally, I was looking for a set of TEIN basics but nobody seems to have them or they are ridiculously expensive.

*edit* After some searching, the KYB GR2s aren't what I would want for a lowered car.

*edit2* I just looked in the product review forum! Got some reading to do...

Recommend a good strut/spring combo for around $500... and can anyone recommend a decent web site that has a good selection of suspension bits?

If I can find a set of TEIN basics for a good price I'd buy them. I'm still checking out the suspension review thread. Ultimately I have $1000 to spend but I'd like to have some $$ left over for other things, e.g. I still need summer wheels.

ls2poweredgoat: So far I've found:

Finch13, thanks for the link. Pricing out some ideas on modacar.com:

TEIN Basic Coilover = $785
Tokico Illuminas + Eibach Sportline = $640.00

One has height adjustment, the other has damping adjustment, but to have both I'd have to spend a lot more.
