New Sub Installed

Installed my new sub last night.

Alpine Type R 12"
Pioneer GM-D7400M Amp (400 watts)
Built a custom sealed box to fit the trunk, still have to add the 1/4" ply to the front for a seamless fit and wrap it in gray carpet. It sounds great so far, I still have to break the sub in a little more. I'll put up some more pics as i continue.

UPDATE:
cut the front today, wrapped it in charcoal carpet to finish it off. im extremely happy with the results

heres a view of the back. the amp fits nicely on the right side of the box.

with all that trunk space u only put 1 ? guess your not a bass head, N E ways have fun and don't get any noise pollution tickets

isnt that amp 400W max? the type r's can take like 700RMS or something like that? underpowering a sub can damage it...dont ask me how i know...

i just needed some low end punch, ur right, im not a bass head
it hits hard enough for my needs haha

and the type r takes 500 rms, so it should be fine

its still underpowered by almost 50%...

I'm no basshead either (1 12w3 @ 8ohms with 400rms behind it) and i know my sub sounds worse than it should...

just to clarify:
the amp is 800 watts max, its putting out 400 at the 2 ohms i have it set up at
thats not underpowering it right?

i was guessing from the pioneer model # that it was max cause thats what they usually do.

since i never owned one of those, it was a guess...

not digging the box! buy a groundshaker ported box! you'll see much more bass!
