The tranny fluid gets hot, so I would assume that the longer you drive, the hotter the fluid would get, thus, heating the housing.

Ohh .. That makes sense. Regardless though, this little heatsink wouldn't do much good unless the whole entire tranny was covered to dissipate more heat. Not worth it .. :/
