Well the majority here say save for a an actual paint job, but to be quite frank, plasti-dipping your car is another alternative. If prepped right, masked accordingly, sprayed with the appropriate amount of coat and time to cure, it should hold as long as you want it to be there on the car itself.

I did my roof black and it looks sweet people always say something, but when you wash your car you cannot hand dry it and the texture is funky its like a rubber matt that grips ****. its okay but idk do it your self with a spray can one panel at a time itll be like 15 cans but thats like 150 bucks plus 50 for tape drops cloths and other junk
throw some wendys burgers and a frosty in that 50 too

Plastidip looks great when done right. I plan on doing my car flat white and have seen it done properly and it looks amazing. Funny how the people who talk crap are like 35 with full time jobs. Personally I go to college and would rather spend 300 for a paint job that looks really good than go to maaco and get a cheap *** single stage job.

Take this is as proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4NUjVh3zTA

this car looks better than any maaco crack house job

did my buddys car in my garage. pretty easy to work with. hardest part is prep. everything else is cake. and now theres so many more color options. you can pretty much make any color you want now.

Friend got his car dipped by a shop around here that does it. Came out really clean, and besides the fact that is satin/matte, it looks like a real paint job. An added bonus is that you are able to do some crazy colors and be able to remove it. Here is a video of how his turned out, doesn't show the spraying process though.
