Here's the V1 with a www.blendmount.com mount installed under my mirror:

...and here's a "Full color defense" (color display) concealed display for said V1 radar. This concealed display turns the lights off on the main V1 so people behind and around you can't see the lights. From the outside of the car, my V1 just looks like one of those mirrors with the temperature on it, etc...

holy crap, that's a lot of miles! haha

I drive with the escort 9500i and i'm so used to it now that i feel insecure when i dont have it. lol

That's a cool looking mount there but i think it's way over priced for something that cost 5 dollars to produce in china. If only the price was 30-40 i'd buy one, then send it to china to copy at cost of 5 dollars =) only kidding.

not sure if you guys heard about this but it's called a bait maneuver. it was in the article of Import Tuners along time ago. what you do is, try to spot a speeder on the speed lane. i'm sure out of all the cars on the highway will have at least one. so when you spot one, follow the same constant speed as them but stay behind approx. 1/4 mile but still have a visual of the bait car. if you see their brake light, then either they slow down for no reason or there's a cop. i've done this several times and haven't got caught before. the person who i was baiting did get caught though. bahaha. other than that, i love my 8500 radar detector. =]

i have used this a couple times going accross missouri and it works wonders lol...

but now that im starting college i thought it would help to buy a radar detector (escort 8500X50 red) and its awsome ive saved my self and others .. it does encourage speeding also .... only becase it works so good. also it is ver customizable with programming and brightness the actual radar signals it picks up and everything ... id advise everyone to get one if they drive more than 30 miles.

What do you use swollen?

Beltronics Sti and the Beltronics gx65. Sti is in my car and the GX65 is in my gfs car.

I have had the Valentine before for a 2 years, and eh.. its so outdated compared to the STI and GX 65.

The V1 is "old school" but it works excellent, and can be "updated" (for a cost) if needed. I've used one for years (the original "big" one I used until it was no longer updatable), and would recommend it to anyone.
