Come to think of it, with all the work/hassle....might as well have bought the LED tails.

Idk on smoothing out the ridges just wanna see if it changes the light out put. If all else comes to fail I am going to mod these tail lights to house LED strips and mold them to the car. Ill keep you guys updated on it

smoothing the ridges will not give you a better output
what it will do is concentrate you output into one section also know as a hot spot
you are better off inserting leds at this point
or maybe if you crazy enough....throw in some projectors HAHAHA
