when i was in the market for new tires, i had falken and kumho as my top two choices when looking at affordability, treadwear rating, and traction rating. i asked around on various forums and a lot of guys suggested i go with falken's. they said that kumho has an issue where the tire delaminates which is scary.

Ziex ZE-512

Anyone driven on these in the snow? How was the traction?

I'm killing the corolla's near bald tires this weekend so gonna need some new ones.

What's wrong with posting in an old thread where there's still relevance? :slap:

To answer your question I have ZE-512s on my stock alloys. Only driven them once on snow since this is Texas; at that time there was only like 5 inches of it at the most. I was pretty cautious but still felt confident in the snow with them. Decent grip. They're great in the rain.

Good traction in 5in? Good enough for me! We hardly ever get that much at once here, it just gets really cold.

I was major granny driving, so I could only gauge the grip as decent. Didn't want to test its limits...!

How about the 912s?
