V-tec,idling, and oil pressure prob

Hmm The samething happen to me couple months ago..I ending changing the oil pressure swith..P1259 = V-Tec oil pressure switch / V-Tec system malfunction. :coffee: They go really Cheap about 5 to 25 bucks a most...The Switch is located up from the oil filter...next to the knock sensor... good luck!!

So....got the car back.It runs and Vtec functions as it should. But now I'm burning oil:fail:. I guess rings are next

u should try to do a Engine Compression Test

Factory spec - 178 PSI

Remember u should do this test with the engine warm , they should be minimum 30 psi of different from each other....
