Valve cover gasket

I'm leaking a lot of oil from my valve cover gasket so I was going to change it but the old one is pretty much glued on...how can I get it off??

I really need help and if there's already a thread about this can someone let me know. Thanks

get a little razor and scrape away

Use a flat head screwdriver..

Thanks guys I already tried the flat head but I might try the razor blade...any other ideas?

The fastest way is to use the blow torch to burn off those glue.

burn it off. just dont let the glue drip into the motor.

I actually just let mine leak & then added a quart every week or two....I found it cut down on costs for oil changes. jk

..it does remind me of a story in high school though. I had a friend with a VW that leaked oil like crazy & when we told him to add oil to it because it was probably low, he would just say, "Why? It's just going to leak out"...needless to say he locked up the motor.
