Ok. I'm looking to get some 17x8.25 +20 offset. I need a good tire size to go with it. Sorry the question is so vauge. I was looking at some 215/40s. Is that too big of a sidewall?

Need opinions on a wheel/tire set up:

17x7.5 +42

I'm looking for a beefy tire fitment where the tires are close to flush with the fenders with minimal tucking (like the gold tl in the pic above ^^^). I was thinking about 225/50/17 tires but didn't know if the 50 aspect ratio would be overkill. Also, I'm assuming that I will need to roll my fenders and do the rear bumper diy fix, is this correct?

Thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated!

Go 225/45/17.

It's always a good idea to fit the wheels and tires on and then pull / roll genders and relocate tabs if necessary. Just plan that you will so youll be prepared
