S2000's are now doing some J32 swaps and removing their F20/22's, but then again, LS1/2JZ would be a better option if you want speed.

I would personally rather see a 2JZ in the CG chassis over the F20/22C if someone had the skills or money to make it work.

Have any links to that? I don't see how a transverse mounted fwd engine could be used as rwd unless it's rear mounted.

yeah that's a quick car, would consider leaving it awd if i ever attempt this
it'll be cheaper to buy a 240sx and do an accord front and rear conversion :troll3:
you're probably right lol

made a major parts list to get an idea of cost, if using crv tranny method

CG shell $500
Crv 5spd awd tranny $600
crv driveshaft $100
Bisimoto b to h/f adapter $1100
S2k rear sub frame with arms $200
S2k diff and axles and suspension $650
Different fuel tank/cell $150
comes out to around 3300, but the real cost will probably get close to $4000 if not 5k
add like a $1000 if you want an h22

looks like if you drop the accord rear subframe and tank(you have to drop it to even get the tank out lol) there's a decent amount of room but the s2k setup is a bit taller and could be cut down or the car could be cut, then i think chopping up the accord SF and welding the 4 bolt points onto the modified s2k subframe would be the way to go.

orrrr maybe trying to adapt stock subframe to hold diff then getting s2k rear knuckles and modifying them or the accords swing arms/components to fit, somewhat ghetto method though its been done with civics

not as much work as i thought, almost everything in the front end should bolt up no problem, most appealing part is there's little to no wiring involved :naughty: think i might start saving hahah

Oh I see.

I was wondering what tranny they could possibly use. I don't know which that is but they made a one-off adapter plate for it. That's makes a lot more sense now.

They even have adapter plates for S2000 to use the K24a# motors now aswell.

Pretty much the car industry now people with enough money and skills can fit anything just about right.

both builds use the stock s2k tranny.
im sure with enough work and cash you could do a true rwd v6 s2k swap into a cg, its just a lot of work between all the mounts, tunnels, and cutting.
i think the only realistic and relatively simple choice is keeping a 4cyl transverse but using the crv awd tranny, i just saw a beastly awd civic hatch with a turbo k20 in it, they make adapters for that too, but then you would have to change the mounts.

If you throw enough money into it, it can be done. But you gotta ask yourself how much TIME, throubleshooting, and ever increasing budget are you prepared to part with. As you'll be the first person doing it in an Accord, you will run into obstacles as they happen, that could not be predicted beforehand. With each new obstacle, the cost will increase. But ... if you do it, mad props !!!
