As a few of you may know, installing a 00-02 cluster into a 98-99 will cause the temperature needle to go to the top. From what i've read this is because it is not getting both signals from ecu & temp sender or vice-versa anyways the years differ for some reason.
Since the install i have taken out the cluster again and tried to switch out guage units back to old one but i ended up breaking stuff on accident and so now i dont have a needle in the cluster at all lol
So now my question is how would i hook the aftermarket temp. guage up using the stock wiring/harness?
The one i am looking to buy has a temperature sending unit with it, but nowhere can answer if it threads into the thermostat housing and/or if i can tap into the existing OEM temp. sending unit wires that go to the cluster or straight from the unit in the engine bay.
-Thanks
