That looks toast to me.
My previous 6th gen had less rust than that and the guy that would have done it for me said I needed one from a yard. He wouldn't bs me and is a very talented mechanic so when I see yours I think there's no chance.
I ended up buying a front subframe for 200$ (Canadian) and he put it in for $200. Which is an absolute steal for the kind of work involved.
Once done attach a diverter hose from the drain spout!
Hi, this is a design flaw, that actually made big time news a while ago, it is caused by the AC condenser drain pipe, which actually just so happens to drain right on top of the sub frame (passenger side). Over time the constant dripping of water rusts/rots out the sub frame. If you look at the opposite side, I bet it looks like new still, or normal. Definitely replace the sub frame, don't fix it, it can bite you back big time! Once done attach a diverter hose from the drain spout!
You cant weld good metal to rusty garbage. youre better off dropping it and getting one from a junk yard.
