Hey 6GA,

I'm working on gathering parts for my J32/6 speed swap. If anyone has any info on where to find a set of Comptech headers for the CL-S with the 6 speed rear bend, please let me know. I have only been able to find them for the automatics. If not, I will probably just be using the stock headers from the 03 CL-S. Any leads or alternative header/downpipe setup suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

XS Power headers are an alternative, and I believe DC Sports are as well. Keep an eye on Acurazine as well as V6P.

Comptech and XS Power are the only ones. DC Sports will only fit the automatic. Sadly both companies have discontinued selling these.

Was your J32A2 from a manual or an automatic ???

As far as I know, and I may be wrong, the J32A2 from manuals and from automatic have a different rear engine mount. I am going to try to find the link.

I got my info from here. Guy posts DC headers which have the bend. Unless his pic is actually something else.

Anyway, Tommy posted about the bend being due to the rear motor mount.

Hmmm... I wonder if at one point they made headers for both the Auto and the Manual. Anyways, here's why I thought that they wouldn't fit without modifying the rear motor mount.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's only the 3rd cylinder header bend that is the problem? I was under the impression that there was an issue with the bend of the two individual downpipes after the header banks collected. These pictures and links definitely help a TON! Now I have a better idea of what I'm looking for.

Just thought of this also: If I use Innovative mounts instead of the problematic OEM CL-S rear engine mount, would this solve the problem?
