oh joy this morning on the way home the vibration at 55-60 had got worse to the point its moving the wheel 1"-2" side to side at 60mph, it gets better if i drive through it or dont exceed 50mph - yeah thats gonna happen :party52:

so tomorrow im off to get the wheels and tyres balanced as thats not going to cost to much if anything.

I read somewhere it could be cv joints moving or axles as well as sticky calipers - i do hope not as i really dont want to start ripping into it on night shifts as mistakes can be made

I doubt sticky calipers. I suppose the CV axles could be unbalanced. If it isn't a tire balance issue, I'd be checking for bends in the rims.

yup the rims are next on the hit list if balancing doesnt work, spcially as i drive down nasty country lanes every day, on the bike not an issue as i can avoid the holes but the car not so easy without crossing the line

I'd check your suspension components too, though I'd think the vibration would be constant if the ball joints were bad or something. Also check your tires, a bubble can cause vibration too.

I have this same issue and I'm sure its the drivers side CV. Only happens when i get near 60mph.

have you guys ever taken a CV apart?

'sticky' causes wear, which results in play, which causes noise

First thing get your wheels balanced, they should find a bend by using excessive weight. Let them know about the issue so they keep track of weight.
