The 2JZ does it for me bro....the wonderful aggressive body lines...the power under hood....rearwheel drive....not to mention a rare car.....rx7 was sleek monster but that rotary is a killer...and the Fairlady jus didnt do it for me....

Supra FTW!

I didn't put down the NSX, for two reasons

1) Naturaly aspirated

2) OVER PRICED

mainly because of #2

Just because a sports car doesn't have a turbo, doesn't mean it's any less of a sports car :) . But I do see where you're coming from on that list of choices, they're all priced about the same, and were top of the line for their respective companies. Too bad rising prices and SUV's gaining popularity killed that class of cars towards the mid-90's.

To put things in a different light, there are lots of 90's sports car lists that put the Mazda Miata at or near the top alongside cars like the McLaren F1 and Porsche 911.

Supras are just gorgeous to me... The rx-7's are a sweet an awesome car, and yeah, probably the better stock car, but its like the styling was always just a tad not quite right from what it could have been to be spectacular. I'd do anything to have either of them of course.

Hmmm no Z love here. I agree with the previously stated...

1.)RX-7
2.) Supra
3.) Fairlady

I love the Z's so much, there isnt a reason but then again compared to my accord. My first bolt on would have to be a box of tissues on the dash. I mean who cares FI RWD...what isnt to like, nothing a body kit cant fix

my big nark on the z's are their reliability. i've never known one to go the distance. even when (i almost said if) a rotary starts acting up thats the perfect time to upgrade the internal rotor and have fun with your boost controler.

I dont know that i'd throw the Miata or the McLaren F1 in with these cars. granted the miata is uber under appreciated it needs a TON of work to put more power to the ground. its like modding a d16. and the McLaren F1? i think thats the realm of super-exotics not sports cars. if you cant drive it, stock, everywhere in Cali or TX its not a "sports" car.

. However, the Supra is the clear winner. The 2JZ platform clearly handles more power than the other two in stock form.

i've never understood the facination with big engines and big power, if you cant put it to the ground and put it around a track it seems like a waste of effort to me. :hide: imo
