Can you please elaborate on what all you did wiring wise?

Everything is looking good. Though, I must say that it would look so much better if you had a transmission with my gears in it! -- Or even any transmission at all for that matter! haha

lol, yes I agree on the transmission out looking odd. Mainly this was left off to lighten the weight and make it easier to set the engine without worrying about tilt and angle.

On the wiring, I will summarize by saying the 31pin plug e on the cls has maybe 3/4 of the same wiring and color coding going to the ecu as the 4cyl accord. I was able to cut and solder in the cl plug by matching the wires by function.

There are also 2 plugs on the cl engine harness named c101 and c102 that when you eliminate the A/T ones, carry about 17 other wires combined from drivers side engine bay thru a grommet near the master cyl, to the interior drivers underdash fuse box, behind the dash, to the passenger side interior fuse box, then to the ecu. While that doesnt sound like a lot, it is, when you consider there are maybe 2 wires shared with the 4cyl accord plugs; both of which are beneath the underhood fuse box on the opposite side of the engine bay.

First and second pics are of the 31p plug I already soldered in and taped up. The pink tags are labels on the non matching wires to identify the function.

Other pics are of c101& c102, I have yet to string any wires from those.

Eventually the goal is to go AEM standalone, but I would be less leary dropping $1k+, seeing it running in the new frame first.

One last thing I forgot... The dash gauges are totally different as far as what pins go to what signals. I was able to match those up by function, but have not cut into them yet

The select lever (not pictured) comes from the side to side motion in the shifter, and these shift levers are from the forwards and backwards motion of the shifters. Is the difference between the Accord shifter vs the CL-S shifter such that a forward motion of one pulls the cable, whereas the forward motion of the other shifter pushes the cable and vice versa? (sorry if my wording is confusing here)

When I'm building transmissions and if I don't get this correct, it can result in someone having a backwards shift pattern

Honestly, I never thought of the backwards lever action causing the reverse shifting. But, it does make sense. I'm more of a visual person, so I would have to bolt up the cls trans and see it compared to the 5mt. Really the biggest thing I noticed on the shift selector cables was the smaller eyelet end looked longer, the shifter itself was shorter and angled differently from the 5mt. I presumed this was for throw reduction, but I'm not a transmission specialist. I do have a short shift adapter on the 5mt shifter, it may bolt up the same.

What about using V6 Accord dash harness?
lol, believe it or not, I actually pulled the whole dash on the cls with the thought of just swapping the whole dash and harness. it's a huge mess to say the least. I probably could do it. But, I was more or less put off on the thought when I spent some time looking at the rats nest with no cover.

minor update... had to work this weekend so didnt get much time to work on car. started to extend some wires from psgr side underhood to the driver side where the v6 harness will connect. also clipped c101, c102 and imrc module pigtails from the cl... which is what i'm wiring up. Took a while to research schematics, but its coming along slowly.

I'm considering this swap. If you had a scrap v6 6th gen chassis to pull harnesses off of do you think you could save time? Thanks.

Basically the cl is the parts car. Not sure an accord v6 harness would save time. But, there are more similarities with the v6 accord and AT Cl. Which is why the v6 body so easily adapts.

What would make it truly easier would be to gut the whole underdash area and make it full race and standalone ecu, Just not willing to go that far yet.

What made you decide to switch everything from the CL-S chassis to the Accord chassis? You may have mentioned already

I talked about this more on AZ. but mainly weight savings. shorter body, more desirable look and aftermarket support. I drove the CLS for about 2 years, mostly stock and always felt it was a bit underwhelming. Even after installing the supercharger it felt sluggish up top esp at freeway speed, it was also such a low production car vs the 6th gen.

I actually was leaning toward prelude at first, but realized I would need more customization such as for A/C, and the smaller wheel wells would not fit the wide tls wheel tire combo. In contrast I used to have 17x9s in the accord and had previosuly installed the cls suspension. wheels, brakes, steering wheel and front seats. In my mind I merely needed to test the crossmember and subframe interchangeability. After that I was pretty much committed.
