How is it already on your car? Because you have an EX?
My car came from the factory with fog lamps. They got broken one winter when they rocked the roads so the wiring/switch is still in place. So far it's looking like all I need to do is mount the fogs & plug the bulbs in.

Hey for all you just waiting on your motorenergy ebay fogs.. hint Andy...
I just wired mine up today. Took like 3 hours, but we weren't in a rush. My buddy JDM_Dynasty helped me out with the wiring.

Putting the harness together is pretty straight forward, but what will help is knowing what some of the wires are.

  • The black thing is the fuse case
  • White wire with red stripe is the power wire
  • Red wire is the trigger wire which you should tap into your red turn signal wire.
  • Yellow just leave alone
  • Blue wire is the wire to the actual fog lights (not pictured but you can locate it on the harness)

I put that whole unit under my dash and clipped the trigger wire and power wire and used shrinkwrap and speaker wires to extend them through the firewall to the red blinker wire and the battery, respectively.

Hope this helps! Remember red - to - red on the trigger wire.

Hopefully you have the same harness I got.

If it isn't maybe this will help, maybe it won't - be creative.

Nice job as usual Russianred, I'm still toughing it out and trying to make the accord switch work, I just talked to my bodyshop guy and told me that his friend might be able to get a harness for me this for this weekend, in any case he has to work on my car, i gotta get my front bumper painted, I'll probably ask him to adjust the foglight sticking out (i'm printing out your pics to show him exactly how), finishing up the wiring and re-sealing my headlight. damn that's alot of sh**

Yeah bro, looks like you got your hands full. I hope that accord switch works out for you! Perhaps if someone could find a wiring diagram for an accord switch it can be replecated for use on a civic harness that comes with the ebay fogs..

I got my civic switch to work perfectly, though it's hanging outta the slot since I haven't trimmed it up yet. When i do 1-click to turn on parking lights, then I have option to turn my fogs on or off, regardless if the car is off or on - as long as the parking lights are engaged with 1 click, then I can use the switch to regulate my fogs.
