Hey lookin good mikey! aint that big of a problem looks good! In this whole discussion id have to agree with turboputz tho, i dont think it should be doin that, id be choaked cuz thats an expensive setup that should be capable of alowing ur ride to be dumped in the front...........anyhow she still looks good bro!
Thats wack that the streets are that bad there!

Thank you

he cant slam it. he lives in yonkers.

everyone has their own preference when it comes to suspension. you research and you buy for what you want/need/think would work best. the tein suspension is a pretty decent suspension, even tho its pretty much remained unchanged for a while, its still good ****. i remember when i asked about ss-p's a while back when i had my old accord, everyone was like why would you get that and everything. its all personal preference.

thank you

looks good mike, I know what you mean about the clunking I had that problem as well and ended up raising my car about a 1/2" as a result. probably puts less stress on the boots anyways when its not slammed, but i dunno

i've got tein ss on my ride, had them for 3-4 years now. i checked out other options, but at the time, for the price tein had the best combination of adjustability & yes, reputation for quality. omnis, amr's, etc weren't around then or if they were, they weren't popular enough to register on the radar. i've changed the ride height & dampening on my car probably 10x over the past few years so I've never regretted my purchase, and love how the car rides, but I would agree that the design is outdated now IMO.

truth is though statements about any product or brand being the best are dumb, because its always subjective.

THANK YOU

yea.....now just add salt erosion and snow plows to that mix, haha.

HAHAHAHA pretty much

I raised it a little, the back stopped clunking the front clunks a little, ill raise a little more tomrorow, and then align it. Im not so eager to achieve that "slammed" look, but just thought it would of been nice to have it @ the same level i HAD it with the previous setup. Ill settle with antoher 1/2" higher. car still looks awesome, and now reachs the way I need it 2.

TEH LADIES DONT LIKE TO BOUNCE IN THE CAR! UNLESS ITS THE BACK SEAT! ;)

and yes i can reboot the axle, it doesnt click yet, i just noticed all the grease and knew what it was because it happen to me b4

dont forget, they gotta fully settle too, so theyll end up a tad lower from where you put it at when it stops clunking.

just a question, does anyone think a $1300 coilover kit that doesnt go as low as a $125 lowering spring is right?

any lower then a "stock" height. I get clunking sounds like blown out shocks. but its the spring falling out of place when the shock fully expands, and then when the shock retracts, the spring slamming back into place. Like just to get that "H&R" look, i had to spin the coil all the way down, and @ that part i could take the spring in my hand and shake it up and down like a full inch. maybe more.

im thinking of a possibility of a wrong springs or something. ComptechV6 has a SS kit i believe, and he said he slamms his and never gets noises

Something there doesn't sound right. Before the coilovers were installed, were the springs preloaded? On my AMR's, I was told by Andy to bring the spring perch up 'til it contacts the spring, and then give it two more turns, then clamp it in place. Your setup must be different than what I'm imagining, 'cuz I don't see how the shock expanding lets the spring come of its perch. On mine, the height adjustment is done w/ the bottom tube, which doesn't affect the spring at all, no matter how high or low I go.

Just from the jump, i was thinking basically the same thing. I've never owned a car with coilovers so i'm not familiar with adjusting them or what sorts of problems people experience. But, almost all my friends who are into cars do have coilovers and none had any problems going way lower than where you are at. I know you said you don't want to dump you car (i felt the same and that's why i roll what i roll), but you should be able to without issues. Obviously, i can't tell you what the problem is but i know a few people on teins with no issues at all. So i'd look into it.

thats what i did with the pearch, but for it to contact the spring the car sits SOOOOOOO high up which defeats the whole purpose of a coil over kit

ya im not trying to dump the car, i just would like it back where it sat with the H&R's right now im like 1" or 1.5" higher

im supposed to meet up with comptech today if the weather stays nice.
