99 Non Vtec swap for Vtec

... It says, it HAS a "hybrid" vtec-e system like a 3 stage vtec system but without the 2nd stage. So basically it's still considered vtec-e.

Saying that it has Vtec is like saying it has the same one as the NSX, GSR etc.

If I put a H22 Head on my F23, it doesn't make it a H22.

So if you take parts or components from a vtec-e system and apply them to a regular v-tec system, it doesn't make it a vtec-e.

It would be kinda like swapping a Corvette Engine into a Civic and saying, "It has the engine so basically it's considered a Corvette."

Manufacturers make variation of engines all the time for different applications. There are MANY different kinds of VTEC, it just depends on the car, and what it's built for.

Its vtec not v-tec.

Anywho, lets put it this way. What I am trying to say is...

Accords don't have performance vtec.

They have economy vtec.

Whether you like it or not, thats not going to change unless you put in an H22.
