I know the thread is old but I think I'm having the same issue. I don't have any oil leaks and have my oil at the level it should be on (Royal Purple =]). Anyway, could it just be the solenoid has some old sludge or needs to be popped manually out?

Any information would be great. That's practically all I need to run my baby at top speed. Thanks in advance guys.

i have the same problem...is call Limp mode to your car..other days my car wouldnt rev pass 4000 rpm just like you said. it would rev up to only 3700-3800 and then went back to whatever gear is next. and people said check your oil but my oil seem normal and full also, no fuse blow or anything. But however i do have a cel though

First clear your CEL.
The start the car and see if the CEL comes back on.
If so, and your oil is up to par, check post 18 on page 2

UPDATE

Sorry about being gone for so long. But I do have an update. I took your advice, Blacknight, and took my 6th gen to the dealer.

Long story short, it was my 2P connector or something. They did not find voltage from my 2P connector to my oil pressure switch. They repaired a wiring harness. Everything works fine now.

Of course, this was a couple of months ago.
