Megan Racing catback? yes, no?

Well I went ahead and ordered the Megan Racing NA Cat-back from Horsepowerfreaks.com, Dave Nguyen is an awesome salesperson and got me a great deal on shipping. Cant beat the price of the Megan, and none of the muffler shops around here use stainless steel they all use aluminized, so I feel like I made a good decision. Next step is a good SRI or cold air. apexi Ws2 muffler with custom piping all the way bro. u get a nice tone. relatively close to a g35 ALTHOUGH it doesnt sound like one, but it is within the ranks if you get the right guy do to the piping.

mugen twinloop exhaust. goes for a 1000$ bucks but u can get the catback version for the prelude and custom fit it. High price but u cant go wrong with the quality

Give it up....no one is gonna buy a $1k exhaust and then hack it to fit their ride just b/c its mugen and is supposedly some how created by god.

There's plenty of other, better, cheaper options out there. Besides, its about matching the best size piping to suit your needs, not the most blinging exhaust.

Well dont know bout you guys but i have the megan cat and headers and the sound is great imo. but like others have said it depends what you budget is like.

Yea, I own this catback and it sounds pretty dang good, the canister is a little too big for my taste, but you cant beat the price and decent quality.

Give it up? as if i were begging him to buy it. LOL please. And I doubt there would be that much customizing to get it to fit. Mugen makes performance parts specifically for honda's. They are tuned for performance. It's not about bling, the twinloop exhaust is actually very nice and its not loud and annoying. You cant hear it very much unless you step on it, it gives u more power down low and at the high end. Read the reviews on it. Every review i read said its well worth the money. You cant even tell its a mugen unless u know what they look like or u get super close and see the stamp. Hell, id rather it be that way. Its not like they are made of gold, I dont see where u get the bling factor. I am looking at performance, and not really caring about price when it comes to exhaust. If you want to order an exhaust on ebay, be my guest....

here is a link to a mugen twinloop catback exhaust. For 640$ shipped. If you have to even question Mugen, then you should probably not even bother. This is a rare price, they go for over 1000$ new. This one looks to be in decent shape. I know the ppl at horsepowerfreaks, they are based in portland oregon. I have ordered a lot of products from them until last time my dad ordered a blitz nurspec exhaust for his 08 wrx and they sent him a catback for a 2004. We called them back and they said it was a typo on the year. Then they tried to charge him a restocking fee. This is what I say to them . Make sure you tell us the low end torque loss too and the annoying sound of the megan without the silencer. Sorry bro

What is your deal man...do you work for Mugen, or just get a boner every time you hear the word? It's not the ONLY quality exhaust out there, so stop trying to push it on everyone. And why are you knocking what this guy just bought right off the bat, that was really cool. Oh yea, no one cares about your dad's WRX.

I have the megan racing header and cat-back on my car and really like it im not sure how it would sound without the header but with it I think it sounds really good let me know if you would like a video of it or pics. Good luck
