fcuking accord...

So I get in my car to move my car...i move it, turn it off, unlock my door, open it...

oh wait, it doesn't open. Turns out my power lock is jammed and the door is closed.

So I cannot open the door, nor can I unlock it.

Its not a fuse, the rods aren't disconnected...the actual lock mechanism is jammed in the lock position. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get my door to open? I already cut thru the paneling on the door so that I can stick my hand in..I even yanked on the rocker arm part of the lock mechanism that releases the door, but it won't open....thats how i concluded that its stuck in the lock position.

Any ideas? Oh yea, using a key to unlock it is out of the question b/c some dick head decided it would be funny to try to open my car with a flathead.

um.. iono if this will help or not but ima say it anyways. use a phillips and unscrew the screw in the middle thats holding the plastic peice in here. then push the plastic piece forward right like slide it right then pull the peice out. after that disconnect the wire thats connected to the power pock switch and try to manually open it from there.

i already tried pulling it open...i had cut a hole in the plastic panel to gain access to the actual lock assembly. I can take the lock assembly...i yanked the "rocker" arm to release the door off the latch but it wont budge..which leads me to think that its stuck in the lock position.

Have you tried to totally disconnect the power lock mec. from the manual lock? and the take a flat head and look to see if you can see the where the lock is.. and try and pry it..

yea...i did one step better...cut a hole in my door panel and yanked the rocker release arm.

Since no one really helped or gave some insight, I brought my car to my dads mechanic (friend of family) and he basically destroyed the locking mechanism and broke my window at the same time...nonetheless, after 5 hours, he got the door opened and replaced my window.

thanks guys.

Holy sh*t man that totally sucks. What an ordeal, over such a rare problem. Glad you got it fixed though!

I have this same problem. I need to open the door in order to gain access to the lock. Any Ideas on how to just open the dam thing?

Key Inserts into lock and moves the lock shaft up and down like normal. Power locks lock and unlock Or appear to. But when I go to lift the handle It has no tension and Acts as if the door is still locked.
