The thing about hitting someone with a shoe in the arab world is that we consider it to be something very very rude and nasty.Because we walk on it all over the place and who knows what kind of scum is under there. So typically we use that for "scumbags" lol. Like when saddam's statue came crashing down the iraqi ppl were hitting him on the head with their shoes. Same thing with bush. It's even more hilarious to see that in my perspective, than a non-arab. Considering the significance of what kinds of people get shoes thrown at them.
