i bought a 4500k DDM tuning slim ballast kit, and here's the results!
i was really torn about what color to get. the last thing i want to do is anything that looks the least bit ricy, but i didn't want anything that could be confused with halogens. 4500k is perfect for me. i was scared because people said it would be yellow, but i didn't realize that they were speaking "yellowish" in the way of HIDs. If these are considered yellow, my halogens must have been deep orange, lol

here's a side-by-side of the two in full daylight - i know it's tough to see the difference, but i put them side-by-side in the license plate (right = HID left = halogen)
here are some shots i took with my point-n-shoot camera about an hour ago
i really like the white, and i don't think glare will be a huge issue for oncoming traffic

*note* in that last one, it was on an incline, i just wanted to show what sort of cutoff i'm getting.
this one's my halogens

HIDs

the only weird thing i noticed when walking around the front is the reflections off the housing (my housing is still stock) here's a good example of what i'm talking about

I think 4,500k is the OEM kelvin rating for most cars that carry HIDS. It looks GREAT! It reminded me of when I first installed mine(8K). Now I have 6k TYC's. The only thing is bro, ur gonna be blinding some people if u dont lower the bulbs a little bit. U might want to take it a step further and do a retro fit or somehow construct a cut off inside ur housing for those bad boys.

Before I bought my TYC's I was going to separate the lights and spray paint a straight line on the top portion of the lights to block out any wild reflective beams to on coming cars...Sounds ghetto but that's why I just bought TYC's.

Actually all he has to do is lower the lights a bit or create a cutoff so those wild beams are held at bay. OEM honda housings have GREAT reflection patterns. Better than some other cars of its year.

i haven't gotten flashed yet, and i think my lights are aimed well enough. (i'd love to get some projectors, but don't worry, it's on my list)
look at the picture that is straight against the brick wall, i pulled up to an suv with oem HID/projector, and her cutoff was right where that light concrete strip is on the wall, and mine are aimed considerably lower.
remember, the last two pictures exaggerate the extra light since my camera is set on night mode, and the lens stays open til it gets enough light.

Cool, yeah if you get anyone flashing u, lower the lights. But to be honest, dont buy TYC projectors. They are good, but i wish I just went with a retro fit to begin with. U will wish the same. Unless your funds are low. TYC's work great for the cheapo like me.:lawl:

thanks man, that seems to be what everyone says, it's just hard to pass up the idea of a drop-in projector.
