Re: Cathode License Plate kits

Is that the stock trunk? I was not aware the 2002 or coupes were very different... Will have to check some out around town...

yes thats stock. only thing i changed was led bulbs in there. i should be able to put the harness up in one of the bulb housings because they are kind of deep. and plug it into the other socket hopefully

EDIT: the coupe license plate holders are in the bumper not the trunk so that may be why it is a little different

Re: Cathode License Plate kits

All I want is a plug and play license plate kit and a plug and play trunk kit. My trunk is dark :(

Also, the idea about having a light under the rear shelf and one on the outside of the trunk lid (to light up the ground and surrounding area) isn't a bad idea actually

I have thought about the trunk lid addition, It could be wired with the running lights, so it would only turn on at night. The only bad part is that they would look kind of ghetto, and the wire distance between the cathode elements and the inverter cannot be changed unless replacing the wire with low gauge copper wire. I'll do some experimenting when I receive the next shipment of cathodes.

News on the LP kits...

Took pictures today, Will be writing the guide up tonight. Expect a few kits to be available for sale tonight or tomorrow.

Remember, first come first serve for this initial batch! More are on the way, so if you don't get one of these first ones or win the raffle, it will only be 6-10 days before ALLOT more are ready!.

Soo....those not in the raffle are eligible to buy this? I'm just wondering if it would be worth it to wait it out for the raffle or simply buy one from this first batch...

As you said a lot more will be ready, so no rush. I can wait.

That is impressive, you know your stuff. I may be interested. I'd like to see some photos of it on your car and the installation and I'm sold. Nice work.

There is no restriction on who can buy and who can be in the raffle. If you have already bought a kit however, you will not be eligible for the raffle when the time for drawing comes. If you don't mind the wait, I would wait it and and take your chances with the raffle.

For anyone who REALLY wants a kit soon, stay posted, as they WILL be for sale later tonight. I just wan these to be %100 ready before offering them for sale. The thread will be posted in this subforum when they are packaged with the guide and ready to ship.

Thank you! The guide I am working on will be added to this thread when it is completed, so you should get a pretty good idea of the installation.

i think it'll be alright just might need to get a little more creative with the install

I am very hopeful these will work on the coupes, I just inspected a few at my college parking lot and I think it can be done. If it is possible to hide the inverter inside the trunk lid, it should not be too difficult.
