maybe you bumped a wire harness while trying to get the old filter off. i know that if a few sensors aren't hooked up then the car won't turn over. look around that area just for ****s and giggles. O2 sensor is a possibility.

An oxygen sensor has NO role in the starting of ANY vehicle. It is not a possibility. If you do not know what you are talking about please do not reply. You are doing nothing more than steering him in the wrong direction.

+1. Do what 1998accordsirt says. You want to start out with the simple stuff. Make sure you didnt knock loose any ground wires. If you can't find anything there, check your clutch relay. We know your fuel pump is working but, just to make sure, try and spray a little bit of throttle body safe starter fluid into the intake manifold to see if she sound like she wants to start.

There was an instance with my accord, It became harder to start each day until one day it would not start. I sprayed starter fluid in and started her up and ran a seafoam treatment and it has been fine for a year after that...

+1 for the above!! Since you also mentioned that it has been rainy lately you might want to check the distributor cap. Small amounts of moisture inside the cap could stop current from reaching the plugs. This is also easy and I think that you could manage this if you are able to change oil.

To the OP. I have a genuine honda used starter for sale in my For sale thread. Works great, only has 111,000 miles on it. It's genuine from the factory. Its used for a 4cylinder automatic. I am selling for super cheap.

I'm sorry but if the starter does not even click when the key is turned, a set of plugs isn't going to fix it. I think it's time for a new family "mechanic". Maybe time to trade in for a technician?

It sounds like just a bad starter. The whole oil change thing was most likely just a coincedence.

Word, I was going to say the same thing, but I didnt want to waste my typing to someone who doesnt take our advice...First he said his car cranks over but doesnt start and now the starter doesnt make any noise. It's probably more than one problem.

To the OP, spark plugs are probably the least common thing to go wrong with your car. Unless your burning an ungodly amount of oil and fouled the plugs. They last well over 100,000 miles. They don't have a characteristic of just not working one day. You will notice it go bad over time if you had bad plugs. Your car would have probably popped a CEL in your face for a misfire because one or more of your plugs isnt igniting the fuel. A Car will keep running even if one or more of the plugs are bad BTW....

Check your CLUTCH RELAY in your fuse box to see if its working. If it is broken, it wont even allow your car to turn over at all, not even a click. You need to check that first. It its working properly then do this,

If your starter is not turning the engine over, u need to lightly tap it with a hammer. If the car starts to crank but wont start, then spray some starting fluid into the intake throttle body.

You need to go to the root of the problem before you just start buying parts for your car, that's how you save money.

change the plugs and it started right up. once it starts heatin up to about the temp that the fans turn on it starts idling erratically jumping up to about 1,000 rpm then back down almost stalling out. keep in mind my accord has 225,000+ miles on it but until this happend its never had a problem.what do you think it could be?

It could be an idle control issue but at this point but I suggest you take it somewhere. This sounds like it is too big for you to tackle and the next steps are too complicated for me to walk through over the web.
