Re: Official DSLR Owner's Club

You have 2 50d's? lol.. why?

you've always give me the "whys" every since i been on this forum & questioned me with my accord and now with my gear :)

i actually do this as a part time job when im not managing my buddie who is now on tour with Cirque Dreams so now this is my full... I do wedding photography & private partys ;) i dont want the client to have 2 sets of pictures and the quality looks totally diffrent..... i could of picked up a 30D but quality would of been a tad bit off and its very easy to work with two cameras your used too... and ever tried switched lenses when you really needa capture that moment...

so WHY i have it is cause it is a must

and it was paid off after a job and a half ;)

Dunno you where you're coming off with this "you've always given me "whys" stuff but anyway..

I was curious because most carry a lower end camera, then a higher end such as a 5d. I rarely see anyone carrying 2 of the same model because of quality reasons. And yes I have tried switching lens etc. when I needed to capture that moment. I carried an XT & 40d. XT was for random shoots, walking around etc.. 40 was for setups, paid jobs, etc..

was a joke ;) since i havent been around here posting lately...

its true people do carry lower models as a side arm, but especially with weddings $800-$1000 more or less and be being by myself majority of the times if i cant get my buddy to assist me.... I cant afford to switch lenses or work with two different cameras and the "client" expects the quality to be the same... at first i did have my 50D & XTI then when i used the XTI on events as a backup id get horrid focusing in low light situations or just not that fast as far as FPS..

the 5.6fps really helps myself especially during those special times during the weddings "kiss" putting on the rings and so on... i can deliver at least 15-20 shots for the cuple and that can choose from 20 pics in that 2-3second time span

and the client is very happy with what he sees and also what he can work with when he prints...

its just very convenient bottom line.... but i do totally understand, i was going to get the 30D as a backup but loved the 50D so much that i thought it was worth it... especially the screen resolution on it is amazing.

Yeah, I figured it would be a backup. I've seen a lot of people with 2 40Ds, or a 5D II and a 5D, etc.
